Senior Accounting Assistant

Job Summary:

The Accounting Assistant performs a full range of accounting work of repetitive or routine nature. This position will verify the weekly deposits along with another accounting staff.

This position will help and assist all accounting staff during the month and year-end closing.

This position is responsible for general liability and property insurance coverages, additions, deletions and claims processing; fixed assets schedules of additions and deletions, and assets inventory.

This position is responsible for all bank reconciliations.

The Accounting Assistant will maintain and reconcile monthly the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards. This position is responsible for new grant set up.

This position assists the Accounting team by performing the duties of other positions in the event of staff absence.

This position will give support to the Accounting Manager and Finance Director of certain responsibilities that will allow them to spend a greater portion of their time on analytics.

This is a full-time non-exempt position. The Accounting Assistant reports to the Finance Director.
