Job Description:
We are seeking an organized and proactive Production Assistant to focus on maintaining clear communication with our customers and ensuring smooth project transitions. This role is vital in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting our production team by ensuring that all job packets are reviewed and ready for the Production Manager. Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Communication:
Serve as the main point of contact for customers during the production process.
Provide customers with timely updates on project timelines, progress, and any changes or delays.
Address customer questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Ensure customers feel informed and supported throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Job Packet Review:
Thoroughly review job packets to ensure all necessary details, materials, and approvals are complete and accurate.
Identify and resolve any missing information or issues before passing the packet to the Production Manager.
Collaborate with sales, production, and administrative teams to address discrepancies and prevent delays.
3. Logistics Support:
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or issues to the appropriate team members.
4. Administrative Assistance:
Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Assist with scheduling and timekeeping tasks as needed.
Prepare reports and updates for the Production Manager.
Qualifications:
Roofing Experience Required: Candidates without prior roofing or project management experience will not be considered.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in construction management or a related field is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
