Your expertise will drive innovation, efficiency, and lasting impact.As a Demand Planner within the Amazon Fresh Grocery team, you will own analytical forecasting and demand planning. The successful candidate will have a passion for analytics, tactical process development, and a willingness to move fast and experiment often. You should feel comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should be able to think big and dive deep into problems.Strong candidates will be self-starters, highly organized, and possess strong data extraction and analytical capabilities. You should feel comfortable using data to build scalable systems and processes that allow our business to grow. You will be expected to be thoughtful in your pursuit of results and thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are driven in parallel.Key job responsibilitiesA Demand Planner will: Manage the demand and forecast for his category and vendors selection across network Work in partnership with category, marketing and financial team to set optimal demand plans to meet topline goals Inspect demand forecasts critically and challenge assumptions from business teams Review historical trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results Partner with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process improvementsKey traits to succeed in this role: Communicate ideas concisely to a wide variety of stakeholders for purposes ranging from informative to need for financial approvals from executives Clearly define data requirements and metrics, strong analytical skills (comfortable with Excel and SQL) High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneouslyBasic Qualifications

3+ years of with Excel experience

4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience

Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control

Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
