DescriptionLead Admissions RN at Swedish Shared ServicesThe Administrative Nursing Admission Coordinator has the primary responsibility of assigning bed placement for patients requiring admission to acute care and critical care units at the First Hill campus. This will include admissions from emergency departments, direct admits and inter-unit transfers. Surgical patients (in the case of add on procedures and/or changes to admission) as well as pediatrics, patients to CDU and admissions from outside facilities, will filter through this process. Chart review and/or calls to clarify bed criteria will be performed to assure appropriate bed placement. The Administrative Nursing Admission Coordinator collaborates with nursing, physicians, EVS, the nursing resource office and other facilities to define, reduce and eliminate barriers within the system which may impede patient flow.Required qualifications:Bachelor's Degree

Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within two years of hire. Continued employment by Swedish beyond two years is contingent upon attaining the BSN degree

Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

5 years RN experience in either ED, ICU and/or 5 years Acute Care Inpatient Nursing
