The Marination Lead is responsible for leading, directing and motivating our SLU crew members to provide a warm welcome and delicious food for our guests. We are looking for experienced leaders who are team focused with quality standards in a fast-paced setting. This is a hands-on role, supporting the GM and the Crew.
STAFFING:
Provide leadership coverage during service, or when coverage is needed due to staffing or business needs.
Support the training and welcome of new employees.
Notify GM of any staffing issues (ie. tardiness, call outs, injury, performance problems, etc.) - both ongoing and sporadic.
Enforce and document disciplinary action.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies and procedures.
FOOD, BEVERAGE & INVENTORY:
Put away orders and confirm that all ordered product is received. Report any order discrepancies or delivery issues.
Place food and supply orders with the Marination Commissary Kitchen and external vendors.
Ensure that all food, beverages and products are consistently prepared and served according to Marination s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
Complete monthly counting of inventory.
FACILITY:
Ensure crew are correctly trained to monitor and maintain all kitchen equipment.
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following preventative maintenance programs.
Maintain an excellent secure, clean, organized environment.
Report maintenance issues and work with maintenance staff to correct these issues.
CUSTOMERS & COMMUNITY
Work with the crew to ensure that ALL guests feel welcome and are always given attentive, friendly, and courteous service.
Coach crew members on how to deliver exceptional customer service.
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of strong restaurant/kitchen experience
Open availability.
Excellent customer service skills.
Previous leadership experience in a similar environment.
Capacity to work under pressure.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 6 hours.
Current Food Handlers Card and MAST Certifications.
