Senior Hair Stylist
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Hairstylist to join our team. As a Senior Hair stylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair services to our clients while ensuring their satisfaction and maintaining professionalism. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior hairstylists, assisting with salon operations, and keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in hairstyling.

Responsibilities

● Demonstrate your style (brand) while adhering to Salon Ivory’s image.
● Provide clients with a wide range of hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and treating hair.
● Consult with clients to understand their hair care needs, preferences, and desired outcomes.
● Offer professional advice and recommendations to clients regarding hair care, styling, and maintenance.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and products in the hairstyling industry.
● Ensure all equipment and tools used are properly sanitized and maintained.
● Maintain a clean and organized work area, including styling stations, tools, and products.
● Mentor and guide junior hairstylists, providing constructive feedback and assistance when needed.
● Assist with salon operations, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling client inquiries.
● Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales and services rendered.
● Bring in your clients and welcome ours to build a loyal client base by providing exceptional customer service and personalized attention.
● Attend all relevant training sessions and workshops to expand knowledge and improve skills.

● Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Skills
● Extensive knowledge of hair care products, tools, and techniques.
● Proficient in various hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and treating hair.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal staff.
● Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
● Strong in written communication for emailing and ability to manage appt schedules for yourself and potentially other stylists as we operate with no front desk.
● Apple iOS or Android user
● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
● Aveda color knowledge is a plus but not required.
● Educator experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications & Experience
● 3-5 years of experience in a salon (preferably)
● Cosmetology, Hair Design or Barbering License
