The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and minor repair duties on commercial office buildings. Great opportunity for a team player to take part in a variety of tasks and learn new skills.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work as a team and alone handling requests for service or maintenance.
- Monitor the work order portal for incoming service or maintenance requests.
- Perform minor repairs and inform the Property Manager when repairs are complete.
- Must be presentable and courteous in a business environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen to work within security sensitive areas.
Example of Job Duties:
- Minor electrical repairs (change light bulbs, ballasts, etc.)
- Minor plumbing repairs (clogged sink/toilet, repair faucet/flushometer, etc.)
- Minor door/closer adjustment/replacement, door hardware repair/replacement, etc.
- Minor HVAC repair knowledge is a plus. Potential training available for the right individual.
Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of commercial buildings, janitorial maintenance, security, and basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Electrician license is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of various power tools and computer literate (email).
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally, electronically, and in writing.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and able to prioritize.
