DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:JOB SUMMARYAn Installer is responsible for the safe, quality installation of equipment in the critical space data center, and similar environments as specified in engineering instructions and drawings and in accordance with customer standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS1. Install, test, and perform pre-energization (mechanical) checks to AC Power or Thermal (HVAC) equipment in Critical Space Data Center or similar Environments2. Add and/or removal of battery strings (AC or DC Power systems), including Lithium Ion3. Perform additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits4. Participate in all internal and external quality audits, both in-process and final5. Add and/or remove circuits on working power distribution equipment6. Installation of auxiliary framing and relay racks7. On-site analysis of job drawings and specifications to resolve any issues prior to job start8. Preparation of Job Site Safety Audits and/or SMOP's and DMOP's for the project9. Function as the point-of-contact for support groups such as engineering, material assignment, etc.10. Review the work assignments .and.amp; project steps (reference the SMOP/DMOP) before each work shift so all personnel, including contractors, are aware of their roles .and.amp; responsibilities during the scheduled work tour11. Completing the project related documentation (ticket or job log) as per company standards, including the personnel and hours worked by each; work items completed or in progress; and notable site or project issues12. Perform all work in accordance with Vertiv and NFPA70E safety work standards and policy, and ensure that all safety measures are metADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Performs small UPS and Power Distribution energized tests, upon satisfactorily academic and OJT fulfillment on assigned projects.2. Proficient in data monitoring equipment; safe installation of voltage and current leads and safety operating and interpreting data (Hioki)3. Add and/or upgrade firmware/software as needed4. Oversees the work assignment, time management, and training and development of all personnel assigned to the job5. Maintain a professional orientation, ensuring quality and outstanding customer serviceREQUIRED SKILLS:JOB QUALIFICATIONS1. Installers shall have a minimum of 6 years accumulated experience or equivalent as determined by the TC specifications2. High school diploma, technical degree preferred 3. Special electronics training or work experience 4. Strong verbal and written customer facing skills5. Strong computer skills to include MS Office experience6. Experience with complying with all customer standards and paperwork to include JSA, MOP, JIM and job completion forms7.
