This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below: International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for VA members and their families. An Emergency Room RN provides critical care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions or trauma, quickly assessing their needs and delivering treatment. They collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to stabilize patients and ensure efficient emergency care. Key Responsibilities:Assess and triage patients based on the severity of their conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor vital signs and patient responses to interventions. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members. Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records. Provide emotional support and education to patients and families. Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedure. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the emergency department. Respond to emergency situations with quick and effective action. Participate in training and continuing education to stay current in emergency care practices.This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
