The coordinator would work to coordinate both clinical and education resources to provide high- quality patient care.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

2. Licensure through the West Virginia Board of Licensed Dietitians required at hire.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) years of clinical experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Master's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field

2. Membership to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) years of experience in clinical nutrition

1. Development of policies and procedures for effectively managing all components of the internship program.

2. Student recruitment, advisement, evaluation and counseling including maintenance of complaints about the program received form students, interns or others.

3. Maintenance of program accreditation including timely submission of fees, reports and requests for major program changes and on-going review of the programs curriculum. Reporting of all activities associated with the dietetic internship program to the Accreditation Council on Education of Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) including 5 and 10 year evaluation reports.

4. Maintenance of the program's student records, including student advising plans and verification statements.

5. Facilitation of processes for the continuous assessment of the program and student learning outcomes.

6. Scheduling experiences for 7 interns in the 10 month dietetic internship program to include creating a 10-month master schedule and syllabus, scheduling class speakers, creating affiliation agreements, assigning projects and scheduling associated presentations, coordinating national nutrition month activities, coordinating rotations with preceptors, and directing and evaluating interns. Communication and coordination with program faculty, preceptors, and other involved with the program.

  • Description The Office of Undergraduate Research in the Honors College at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a (Hybrid) Program Coordinator. About the Opportunity The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Research (UGR) is to connect undergraduate students who have strong and committed interests in research and creative work to faculty members, programs, and research-related opportunities that are aligned with their interests both on campus and off. The Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP) coordinator works in collaboration with the Director of Undergraduate Research to implement the RAP program from inception to completion and to include all programmatic aspects, such as, general programming (e.g., recruitment, advising, time card monitoring, hiring of work study students, workshops, training, curriculum, speakers, ), mentoring and meeting with students, meeting with faculty and researchers, program advertisement and application, participant tracking, search for continuation funding, and proposal writing. Wellness programs What You\'ll Do Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP) Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the Research Apprenticeship Program. Plan, manage, and actively advertise the Research Apprenticeship Program to the WVU community including students, faculty, researchers, and staff. Plan and implement strategies to recruit students and faculty mentors to the program. Provide guidance and mentoring for the students beginning in research through RAP. Aid in the development of the curriculum and teach the RAP accompanying courses (as needed). Coordinate and manage the educational aspects of RAP throughout the year: daily contact with instructors, students, and faculty mentors. Lead weekly meetings with RAP instructors (graduate teaching assistants and undergraduate teaching assistants). Assist students with work-study processes (i.e. hiring, timecard management, compliance). Keep track of participants activities through biweekly reports.
