Job Title: Concrete Foreman
Location: Madison, WI and surrounding areas up to 50 miles
Pay: $36-$42/hr (Based on Experience)
Hours: 45+ hours per week, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
Overview:
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead a crew of 4–10 concrete workers on commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, upholding safety standards, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in concrete practices, and the ability to coordinate effectively with other trades on-site.
Responsibilities:
Supervise crews performing all aspects of concrete work including pouring, forming, finishing, and curing.
Train, mentor, and guide crew members to ensure high performance and productivity.
Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and other trade partners to maintain efficient workflow.
Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications to plan and execute tasks accurately.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are available, functioning, and maintained.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and building codes.
Lead daily safety meetings and conduct regular site safety inspections.
Prepare and submit required reports, including timesheets and daily work logs.
Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project completion.
Qualifications:
5–7 years of experience in concrete work, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, tools, and best practices.
Valid driver’s license required.
OSHA 30, ACI Certification, and First Aid/CPR certifications are preferred but not required.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and job specifications.
Familiarity with industry safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage time effectively, solve problems, and work under pressure.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Dedication to continuous improvement and professional growth.
Requirements:
Job requires proper use PPE: hard hat, safety gloves, work boots, and high-visibility vest.
Must have basic concrete hand tools.
Must be willing and able to work 45+ hours per week.
