Students are placed in clinical sites throughout Southeastern Wisconsin in proximity to each campus location.Job Summary The Successful Training and Retention of SANE’s ( STAR ) at UWM is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services ( HRSA 6 T96HP45841‐01‐01). Through a collaborative effort with academia and clinical community agencies, the goal is to provide culturally responsive care to sexual assault survivors and increase the number of SANE nurses in Wisconsin.For the STARS Research and Evaluation Coordinator position (Research Program Coordinator), we are seeking a SANE certified nurse for this grant funded position to assist the STARS Project Coordinator with implementation of the STARS training program for nurses with the goal of improving healthcare provided to survivors of violence. The comprehensive SANE training program includes an online asynchronous didactic session in addition to in-person clinical skills labs, as well as ongoing mentorship. This role includes assistance with administrative responsibilities, direct training of nurses, evaluation of program and participation in mentorship program for nurses.Work will be performed primarily on the UW-Milwaukee campus, with requests for remote work considered after the initial training period. Hybrid work options may be available with specifics regarding work location requirements discussed during the interview process.Minimum Qualifications
Current RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin
Successful completion of SANE didactic training program
SANE -A certification
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
At least 3-5 years recent experience as a functioning SANE providing acute care
Completion of an approved sexual assault nurse examiners program
Preferred Qualifications
SANE -A/P certification
Master of Nursing degree or Bachelor of Nursing degree
Target Salary Range $38.94 - $40.86 an hour (This position is part-time (50%) and final salary offers contingent upon skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to the position.)
