Reference #: 85347-361528 GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Prepares shelters, pieces, and parts for paint. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Receives verbal and written instructions. Receives units, washes/rinses, and dries with a cloth. Removes masking from holes and cleans with solvent. Vibrates spot weld marks, scratches, excess sealer, and adhesive. Checks the surface to be painted for dents, hand buffs dents, and fills with J7 body filler. Vibrates filler to achieve a smooth surface. Cuts paper using patterns, covers, and mask areas not to be painted. Tack rags unit to remove lint and dust and moves to the paint booth. Use vibrator in completion of operations. The Manager in Training (MIT) position is expected to be a short-term transitional role that provides both work assignments and training opportunities to prepare MITs to be promoted into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. From the date of entry into the AutoZone MIT program, it may be possible to progress to a management position within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on the prior experience and performance of the MIT.
