Gilead operates in more than 35 countries worldwide, with headquarters in Foster City, California.The USMA Senior Manager for HIV Prevention reports directly to the USMA HIV Prevention Strategy Senior Director and will serve US Medical Affairs by supporting strategic planning for HIV prevention, including sexual health educational opportunities, ongoing support for emtricitabine and tenofovir alafenamide (F/TAF) for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), planning for the potential approval of lenacapavir for PrEP, and provider education on post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).Essential Duties and Job Functions

As a content manager and product expert, serves as a key contributor and knowledge expert in sexual health, HIV prevention, F/TAF for pre-exposure prophylaxis, lenacapavir for pre-exposure prophylaxis, and post-exposure prophylaxis.

Independently manages projects related to the analysis of novel, emerging data and determines relevant information to incorporate into medical content training.

Works with the HIV prevention team to review, update, and provide insight into Medical Affairs slide decks and local and global HIV prevention response documents.

Creates US-focused medical training documents as needed to support field Medical Scientists

Works collaboratively with Medical Scientists, Medical Information, Clinical Research, and Clinical Pharmacology to support responses to medical inquiries and slide development for conferences.

Provide medical and scientific input on scientific content review committees as needed.

Attends medical conferences to assess/gather relevant information and support activities related to conference deck development and training.

Collaborates with Senior Director to develop US Plan of Action and ensure alignment of team activities.

Supports US and Global HIV Medical Affairs Advisory Programs, as needed.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

MD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD, or other advanced health care degree and relevant clinical experience in HIV treatment, prevention, or sexual health required (MS and 6 years of experience or BS with 8 years of experience) plus Industry experience.

Experience in the provision of medical information, slide development, medical writing, and conference management required.

Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills and interpersonal skills are required, with experience in preparing budgets, and misc. Excel spreadsheets, and delivering PowerPoint presentations.

Experience with patient-centric care desired.

Committed to continuing education to maintain a knowledge base.

Ability to utilize moderately complex scientific resources across a variety of different settings.

Ability to work collaboratively and experience working on cross-functional teams.

Ability to travel to domestic and international conferences which will include occasional weekend travel is required.

Ability to flex and adapt as necessary in response to ongoing growth and change within the organization.

The salary range for this position is: $165,580.00 - $214,280.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
