Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the service industry, based in Fresno, California. As a Staff Accountant, your key role will be to handle and analyze accounting records and financial reports, ensuring their accuracy and adherence to the proper reporting and procedural standards. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle and scrutinize Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts. Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial reports. Conduct revenue and cost analysis, and prepare relevant management reports. Develop tables of accounts and allocate entries to correct accounts. Generate periodic reports comparing budgeted costs with actual costs. Prepare schedules and documents for external audits. Develop forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and oversee their work activities. Collaborate with project managers for proper accounting, control, and capitalization of CIP. Report any suggestions for efficiency and continuous improvement to Supervisors. Assist the VP of Finance and other financial professionals in their duties as required.
