Legal Assistant (Remote / Onsite As needed)
Duties include:
- Responding to inquiries from potential clients via phone, email, or online
- Collecting and inputting relevant information about the client's case into the firm’s database
- Conducting initial screenings to assess the validity of a case
- Explaining the firm's services and potential next steps to clients
- Scheduling consultations or meetings with seniors staffs
- Managing intake forms and ensuring all required documents are collected
- Communicating case status updates to clients
- Assisting with follow-up calls or emails regarding the intake process
- Drafting legal documents (e.g., Judicial form filling, letters, contracts, pleadings)
- Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases
- Maintaining and organizing client files and legal documents
- Filing court documents and managing deadlines
- Communicating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Scheduling meetings, hearings, and depositions
- Assisting Senior staff in trial preparation
- Managing billing and administrative tasks
