Job Description – Accounting Assistant:
This position is a great fit for a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized individual who is looking to build upon their understanding of accounting fundamentals and skillset, including prior experience with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. In addition to basic bookkeeping and accountant duties, you will have opportunities to work closely with the Director of Accounting as you assist with financial reporting and month-end close duties.
Job Duties / Major Areas of Responsibility:
Daily cash account reconciliations
Prepare and distribute daily cash report
Prepare journal entries in the general ledger
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Set up wires
Book and record lease transactions
Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Securely maintain financial records and documents
Assist with monthly close
Reporting (as assigned)
Projects and other accounting tasks (as assigned)
Requirements:
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
Results-driven with exceptional detail and organizational skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Project execution skills
Must have the ability to prioritize and meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy
1+ year(s) of data entry experience preferred
Familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred
Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred
Ability to interact easily with all levels of management, cross-functional teams, and clients
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A good team player
Ability to fulfill a full-time in-office position located in downtown Long Beach, CA.
Compensation:
$18-$20 Per Hour
Full-Time (Monday – Friday), onsite
