Position: In-Person Private Tutor
Location: Torrance & Palos Verdes Estates, CA
Period: January 6 – February 20, 2025 (potential for extension)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 4-5 hours per day (starting at 4 PM or 5 PM)
Pay: $480 - $600 per week (based on hours worked)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated tutor to provide in-person, one-on-one or small group instruction. The tutor will help students primarily with the elementary school subjects.
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and small group tutoring sessions (5-6 students)
Support students with elementary school subjects
Engage students in reading and discussion to improve comprehension
Utilize the curriculum and materials provided by Summa Academy
Requirements:
Experience with working with students, understanding students’ needs, challenges, and effective instructional strategies
College graduates or current university student
Ability to teach in one-on-one or small group settings
