Engineering Firm Seeking Draftsman for Structural and Civil Engineering
PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to support our growing need for an experienced structural drafter to help aid our project engineers’ complete tasks in a highly efficient and professional manner.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Structural and Architectural Drafting (Floor plans, Elevations sections, framing and foundation plans) with minimal supervision.
Structural Detailing
Creating as-built floor plans, site plans and elevations.
Site surveys for as-built dimensions and photo documentation
Assist other team members to fulfill requests and optimize our design efficiencies
Handling city submittals and plan check corrections, and administrative duties as they present themselves
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Technical Drafting degree preferred
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Structural Drafting
Must be proficient in the use of AUTOCAD software, Construction background a plus
Ability to understand architectural and structural plans
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Must be self-motivated and be able to take charge of projects
Experience doing site surveys and city submittals a plus.
About us: Our engineering firm has been providing Environmental, Civil and Structural engineering services in the greater Los Angeles area since 1989. Project work includes repair retrofitting, fire repairs, earthquake repairs, large commercial centers, apartment complexes, industrial projects, custom homes, and single-family dwellings. The position includes a competitive salary and benefits package.
