Human Resources Director

Act as liaison between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems and bridge the challenges and differences between management and employees. Analyze data and reports to identify causes of personnel problems and make recommendations for improvement of company's personnel policies and practices. Perform difficult staffing duties, such as recommending firing and disciplining employees, refereeing disputes, and dealing with understaffing. Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants. Plan and conduct new employee orientation. Conduct exit interviews upon employee termination. Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs and prepare and follow budget for personnel operations. Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems and safety and recreation programs. Analyze training needs of company to design employee development, training, and health and safety programs. Maintain records and compile statistical reports regarding personnel-related data, including hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and attendance rates. Provide employees and prospective employees with information regarding job duties, policies, wages, benefits, working conditions, and advancement opportunities. Advise management on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment and recommend necessary changes. Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers. Analyze and recommend changes to compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Plan and coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of the company. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Jurisprudence/Legal Studies or Public Administration, plus 2 years of experience as HR Manager/Director. 40hrs/wk. Fax resume to (323) 346-0181.
