Associate Director, Infrastructure Engineering

About the Role: The Associate Director of Infrastructure Engineering will oversee the vision, design, implementation, and operations of critical technology solutions for IT Infrastructure to ensure enterprise-wide optimization, security, and compliance. This role involves guiding technological transformations, ensuring the implementation of organizational policies and SLAs, and fostering innovation across platforms while driving efficiencies through automation. The successful candidate will manage teams responsible for maintaining high network security, system reliability, and disaster recovery standards, while aligning with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and others. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Technological Transformation and Optimization: Oversee the technological roadmap and transformation strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. Foster innovation by developing a culture of continuous improvement, challenging status quo and rapid prototyping to develop scalable solutions Adoption of emerging technologies while demonstrating business value. Optimizing platforms across the enterprise and driving system efficiencies through automation and process streamlining. Ensure adherence to enterprise-wide security and compliance protocols. Leadership and Strategy: Create vision for next-generation IT infrastructure, with migration plans to best-in-class architecture to support business scalability goals. Lead cross-functional teams responsible for integrating and managing technology solutions such as Palo Alto Networks Prisma, Cisco ICE, Ring Central, Juniper MIST, Simpplr, and CrowdStrike. Supervise technology stack overhauls, including on-premise and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience. Guide the creation and execution of organizational policies and SLAs, focusing on system reliability, disaster recovery, and process efficiency. Vendor management and contract negotiation. Compliance and Security: Develop, preserve, and execute Policies and Standards ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX). Ensure all systems are secure, compliant, and regularly audited for vulnerabilities, optimizing security across the network infrastructure. Lead the disaster recovery strategy, ensuring business continuity through effective endpoint data management, backup strategies, and restoration processes. Implement and maintain all Services under remit based on Secure by Design principles. Support Incident Response team as infrastructure SME. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership to align infrastructure goals with business needs. Minimize or avoid disruption to business operations during planned infrastructure changes. Work across technical domains to enable productivity for software development teams, including support for application hosting and infrastructure-as-code solutions. Engage with vendors, ensuring cost-effective solutions and continuous technological improvements, optimizing shared infrastructure where appropriate. Mentor and lead engineering teams to drive performance, engagement, and professional development. Contribute thought leadership to the development of technology strategy and solutions across multiple technical and business functions.
