We are a small public accounting firm located in Sacramento. We have an immediate full-time position open. We have a strong concentration with individual and trust tax returns. We also work with corporate and partnership tax clients. In addition to tax preparation, we also work with clients monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting. A partial list of the position's responsibilities are: Preparation of Individual, Trust, Partnership, C-Corp, and S-Corp tax returns along with other business returns such as Forms 1099, sales tax returns and Unsecured Property Tax Returns (Form 571-L). Preparation of AJEs, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations for the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting for the clients. Build relationships with the clients by having direct contact with them. Responding to clients' tax notices from various taxing authorities, supporting the admin team as needed, and just being an overall team player.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Minimum three years work experience in public accounting
Strong Work ethic, able to work independently and manage time/meet deadlines, and communicate professionally with clients and co-workers
Strong accounting skills, including bookkeeping procedures, GL review, adjusting journal entries, and write-up work
Experience with Lacerte, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis in Excel
