Description The accounting clerk is a member of a company's accounting department, responsible for assisting with both clerical and administrative tasks. In general, they perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and other documents.
Handle multiple bookkeeping duties, such as preparing bank deposits, managing invoices, or monitoring financial transactions.
Carry out reconciliations of account, post debits and credits, make journal entries, and maintain and balance the general ledger.
Assist in sending out and managing client invoices, tracking, and managing unpaid invoices and ensuring timely payments.
Providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
Verifying the accuracy of business transactions and posting details of transactions in the company database.
Summarize current financial status by collecting information.
Perform data entry and administrating invoices.
Prepare checks for payments and reconcile invoices.
Requirements
