Experienced Contract Paralegal Needed for Folsom Law Firm
Our established law firm in Folsom, CA is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Paralegal for a contract position. We are looking for a dedicated professional with substantial experience, primarily in California Family Law, to provide high-level support to our attorneys.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal looking for a flexible contract role in a dynamic, working with multiple law firms. While the primary focus is Family Law, experience in our other practice areas is a significant plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Drafting, preparing, and reviewing Family Law documents, including pleadings, declarations, requests for orders (RFOs), preliminary and final declarations of disclosure (PPDs/FDDs), SOIC, Trial Briefs, and settlement agreements.
Managing case files from inception to completion.
Calendaring deadlines, hearings, and appointments.
Preparing discovery requests and responses.
Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
Assisting attorneys in preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials.
Providing support in other areas as needed, including Juvenile Dependency, Living Trusts, Criminal Defense, and Civil Litigation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal case management software (Clio), Clio Draft, Drive software / Cloud Management, LexisNexis, Google Business Suite, Deadline Reports, Monday task management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Must be a proactive, independent worker capable of managing a caseload with minimal supervision.
Experience in Juvenile Dependency, Living Trusts, Criminal, and/or Civil Litigation is highly desirable.
Position Details:
Type: Contractor (1099)
Location: On-site at our Folsom, CA office.
Schedule: Flexible hours, with the potential for full-time or part-time contract work depending on caseload and candidate availability.
Compensation: Pay is competitive and will be based on your level of experience and expertise.
