Position overview
The Church Administrative Assistant is to provide support to the Lead Pastor, the staff, and the ministries. They play a crucial role in managing the operation of the church office, managing key administrative tasks, and facilitating effective communication to staff and visitors. This position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the church office, ensuring that it is organized, welcoming, and efficient
Answer and screen phone calls and inquiries providing information and assistance when needed.
Draft, edit and proofread various documents, including letters, reports, and announcements.
Maintain and update church records, directories, and databases.
File and protect all church records, paperwork, etc.
Receive and distribute mail daily, make copies and printing.
Willing to preform duties the lead pastor requests
Act as a point of contact for members and visitors, ensuring a warm and helpful environment.
Assist with church information and announcements through various communications channels, such as newsletters, social media and email.
Work together with church leadership
Assist church members and ministries with events

Capacity to multi-task, take initiative, be patient, and attend to details.

Educational and Professional Requirements
High School Diploma
At least 2 years of experience in an assistant role preferably in a church setting.
