Position: Collision Estimator

Location: 1217 E Beamer St., Woodland, CA

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced collision estimator to join our team of elite collision repair professionals. The Auto Body Collision Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing detailed repair estimates, and communicating with customers, insurance companies, and repair technicians to ensure a smooth and efficient repair process. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong customer service skills, and a solid understanding of collision repair processes. The estimator will inspect vehicles, document damages, estimate labor and material costs, and work with insurance adjusters to obtain approvals. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and knowledgeable in the latest auto body repair techniques and estimating software.

Core Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Provide top-notch customer service by clearly explaining repair plans, maintaining ongoing communication during the repair process, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction upon completion.

Estimating: Use the CCC One, Nexsyis, Mitchell, and Audatex systems to perform thorough damage assessments and prepare accurate repair estimates.

Insurance Coordination: Collaborate with insurance companies to ensure repairs are approved and align with insurance and Kniesel’s standards.

File Management: Ensure repair files comply with insurance DRP procedures and California BAR regulations, securing proper authorizations.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with body technicians and other team members to manage repair timelines and deliver high-quality repairs.

Compliance & Quality Control: Perform quality inspections to ensure repairs meet Kniesel’s standards, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a collision estimator or in a related role is preferred.

Knowledge of CCC1, Nexsyis, Mitchell, Audatex, and other collision repair estimating software.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to build positive relationships with customers, insurance companies, and team members.

Familiarity with DRP and California BAR regulations is a plus.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
