We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our team. The Systems Administrator will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex C5ISR systems and infrastructure solutions, spanning Information Operations (IO), METOC, and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the organization's computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Work you'll do

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and network infrastructure to ensure their optimal performance and security

Monitor system performance and resource utilization, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to minimize downtime

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to safeguard system integrity and data confidentiality

Perform routine system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure continuity

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and test system upgrades and enhancements

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and provide timely resolutions to minimize disruption to operations

Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in system administration and network management

Provide technical support and assistance to end users, addressing their IT-related concerns and inquiries

Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system emergencies and outages as needed

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorshp now or at any time in the future

HS Diploma or GED Equivalent + 10 years of relevant cybersecurity engineering experience, or

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other technical field;

5 years of experience in system administration or a similar role, managing complex IT infrastructures

Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems and their administration

Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V

Experience in managing network devices, firewalls, and routers

Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions, as well as disaster recovery planning and implementation

Active Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility

Preferred:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems

Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)

Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
