Description Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled Financial Analyst with a passion for the non-profit sector. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for finance professionals who are eager to apply their analytical expertise to support organizations dedicated to social impact. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring that financial resources are effectively managed and aligned with the organization’s mission-driven goals.Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting: Perform detailed financial analysis to support the strategic initiatives of non-profit organizations. Prepare and present financial reports, including budget performance, variance analysis, and financial forecasts, to leadership teams.

Budgeting & Financial Planning: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with program objectives and funding sources. Monitor actual expenses against budgeted amounts and analyze variances to provide actionable insights.

Grant Management & Compliance: Oversee the financial aspects of grants, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and effective utilization of funds. Prepare financial reports for grantors and internal stakeholders.

Financial Modeling: Develop financial models to evaluate the financial impact of various programs, projects, and funding opportunities. Provide recommendations to support data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Operational Support: Collaborate with program managers, development teams, and administrative staff to provide financial insights that enhance operational efficiency and program effectiveness.

Risk Management & Internal Controls: Ensure financial practices adhere to internal policies and external regulations. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are highly valued.

3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the non-profit or public sector.

Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software commonly used in non-profits (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct).

Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial data and communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to transparency and ethical practices.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
