New Parent Support Home Visitor

This Position is Contingent on Contract Award. International SOS is looking for qualified individuals to be New Parent Support Home Visitors for The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP.) The FFSP serves active duty members of the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force plus their eligible family members; active duty members of foreign military services who are stationed in the area; reserve military personnel and their family members when they are eligible for military medical care, military members designated as severely wounded, ill and injured and their identified caretakers and, on a space available basis, military retirees and their family members and widows, eligible family members of military decedents and other groups as directed and authorized by higher authorities in response to special circumstances. Key Responsibilities:Coordinate, publicize and provide a wide variety of deployment and mobilization support services. Expectant parents and parents with children under 3 shall be assessed and screened for child abuse risk, using the established Navy NPS screening tools and procedures. Parents who are not screened at risk or eligible for NPS home visiting shall be provided information and referral to appropriate military and civilian community resources and services. Ensure home visitation services use the Nurturing Parenting Program for all at risk parents accepting NPS services. Report suspected child abuse and domestic abuse/violence to the local civilian authorities and the Family Advocacy Representative IAW Navy and state requirements. Ensure that home visiting services are fully documented in the in required systems in accordance with current Navy requirements. Ensure that documented information and referred, assessment, screening, and educational services for parents not at risk are entered and counted in required systems. Ensure staff delivering services are accounting for all services delivered in the scheduling module in required systems. New Parent Support Home Visit functions shall require visits to the customers’ homes. FAP Case Management and Intervention functions may require home visits per regional or installation SOPs.  This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.

What You Need to Know Clinical Leadership and Compliance: Supervises day-to-day clinical and office operations. Is available to staff and patients during hours of operation. Accreditation/Survey Readiness, QA audits/detailed corrective action plan audits. Manages HHCAHPS distribution in SHP. Emergency Preparedness Planning- Activation of EPP, Post Activation Reporting & Ongoing Event Monitoring and Reporting. Qualifications Registered nurse with current licensure to practice nursing in the practicing state Possess and maintain CPR certification Previous experience in home care setting with two years management or supervisory experience, preferred Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order Prior use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
