Ensure all work performed adheres to Chevron's Operational Excellent (OE) standards, regulatory and code requirements.

Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices, maintaining a safe working environment, participating in safety meetings and being prepared to respond to any type of incident.

Perform all work activities safely to meet commitments related to terminal operations.

Work closely with and take direction from the Head Plant Operator.

May coordinate with Supply Schedulers, suppliers and transporters for all products.

Performs inspections and maintenance to ensure proper operation, and environmental integrity.

Schedule, direct and/or perform maintenance activities as needed.

Execute preventative maintenance plan.

Perform activities in the tank yard and Tank Truck Loading Rack (TTLR) areas. For Example: Gauging Tanks, switching tanks serving TTLR, performing daily inspections and performing intra-terminal product movements.

Maintain terminal records as directed. For example: Stock Control, Waste/regulatory and Additive inventory

Perform Inventory Reconciliation

Assure compliance with all operating procedures and operating requirements by anyone who comes into the facility.

Assist Head Plant Operator in Training contractors for site specific training.

Train and certify new drivers on loading operations as directed.

Perform various terminal tasks that may come up in the course and scope of a Terminal Operator's job.Unload petroleum products from railcars into storage tanks, always keeping in mind environmental and personnel safety. Attention to details such as brakes, chock blocks, grounding cables, and other key components to properly secure each railcar to the track is crucial.

Collaboration and coordination with fellow team members, Chevron Terminal Operators, BNSF, and other neighboring terminals such as 'Marathon' and 'Kinder Morgan', is essential to receive pipeline, unload railcars, provide ethanol and distribute petroleum products.

Conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, emergency shower/eyewash stations, and other terminal preventive maintenance measure checklists.

Monitor and maintain detailed records regarding pipeline receipts, tank gauging, aboveground and underground storage tank levels, truck inspection processes, vapor recovery unit emissions standards, equipment outages, and maintenance service orders on associated auxiliary equipment.

Collect, inspect, and analyze railcar, truck, and tank quality control samples in the laboratory to determine product integrity. Evaluate different levels of gravity, octane, ethanol content, and other product properties depending on type of product sample (taking into consideration different variables that might alter results such as density and seasonal fuel temperature fluctuations).

Some of my secondary tasks include maintaining a high level of cleanliness in and around the terminal. Prevent petroleum products from accumulating on drip-pans, stain loading rack floors or soil. Keep weeds and shrubs cleaned inside the terminal as well as surrounding areas.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma

Experience in the industry

Valid driver's license

The anticipated salary range for this position is $33.97 per hour . The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
