Seeking a part time resident manger for community located in the San Diego North County area. The resident manager must live onsite and be available to respond to emergencies during normal business hours or after hours. The position is ideal for an individual with good multi-tasking skills, or a couple who can share the office management and maintenance duties.
Compensation
Apartment rental allowance plus hourly pay depending on office hours/duties
Manager may receive hourly rate of additional work performed that outside of manager duties such as maintenance and repairs.
Manager’s Duties
Strong apartment leasing ability
Knowledgeable in Fair Housing Law and Fair Credit Reporting Act
Showing Apartments
Serving legal notices
Monitoring a outside vendors
Regularly interacting with tenants
Recording and tracking completion of work orders
Rent collection and light accounting
Makes sure tenants are following rules and regulations
Light maintenance (changing lightbulbs, changing batteries, general cleaning)
Keep property in good clean condition
Facilitate communication between tenants
Support staff and management
Computer proficient: Excel, Microsoft, Gmail, Docusign, Property Management Software
Interpersonal and Technical Skill Requirements
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication ability.
High degree of professionalism and dedication to self, co-workers, and clients.
Ability to diffuse conflict and resolve problems.
Appearance must be neat, clean, and professional.
Qualifications
Prefer onsite residential or property management experience.
Fluency in spoken and written English required.
Need to be able to perform simple math calculations, maintain records and check reports for accuracy.
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates must possess a valid CA driver's license, a reliable and insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.
Clean credit report. No Evictions, Bankruptcies, or Criminal Record.
A background check will be required as part of the hiring process.
