Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the construction industry, located in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be joining a team of accountants, where you will primarily be responsible for handling the full-cycle accounts payable functions and other accounting duties. Responsibilities: Accurately process 50-100 invoices weekly related to our trucking business Ensure the efficient handling of full-cycle Accounts Payable tasks Carry out coding, matching, and processing of purchase orders Update credit card information as needed Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action when required Utilize accounting software, such as NetSuite or Acumatica, for various tasks Handle day-to-day accounting duties while working closely with the accounting manager and reporting to the controller and CFO Provide resolution for customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications effectively Ensure compliance with the company's accounting systems and processes. Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar Proficiency in accounting functions is required Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures Experience with coding invoices is necessary Proficiency in using NetSuite financial software is preferred Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
