Description We are offering an opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join our team in San Francisco, California. The Legal Secretary will be responsible for drafting and managing legal documents, coordinating with attorneys, and ensuring the efficient and smooth handling of clients' legal transactions.Responsibilities: Draft pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, and other documents, as well as assist in creating standard office templates for pleadings and discovery Track and manage deadlines, filings, and other pleadings using legal management software like LexisNexis Prepare table of contents and table of authorities for motion pleadings, and finalize pleadings for filing in both federal and state courts Review and organize electronic files using a document management system Proo all documents for grammatical, typographical, or spelling errors, and ensure completeness prior to distribution or filing Coordinate and make necessary travel arrangements for attorneys, as well as organize meetings such as depositions, mediations, interviews, etc. Assist assigned attorneys with completing and tracking CLE compliance, presentations, and training programs Manage the conflict check and client intake process for new matters Submit expense reimbursements on behalf of assigned attorneys while maintaining a high level of confidentiality Regularly anticipate the needs of assigned attorneys to promote efficiencies, such as drafting correspondence, preparing materials for meetings in advance, and scheduling client meetings Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and firm and court personnel, and provide friendly and helpful telephone support Develop, implement, and maintain systems to promote organization and efficiencyRequirements 10+ years of legal secretary experience Experience with a Management System for efficient workflow is required Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites for document creation and management Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook for professional communication and scheduling Ability to handle Billing Functions accurately and efficiently Experience in Briefing attorneys and other legal professionals Proficiency in Calendar Management to schedule meetings, deadlines, and court appearances Ability to transcribe Dictation accurately Strong Documentation skills for maintaining and organizing legal files and records.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
