If you're ready to take the next step in your career and showcase your abilities in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!Location: San Mateo County, CAPosition Type: Full-time / Part TimeAbout the Role: As an AR Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in a accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulations. You will ensure that all invoices and payments are processed accurately and efficiently. You’ll work closely with vendors and internal departments to address any discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring timely payment of our obligations.Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Management: Generate and send invoices to clients according to company policies and contract terms. Ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Collections: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, follow up on overdue accounts, and manage collections efforts. Negotiate payment terms and resolve payment discrepancies.

Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment plans, and account issues. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professional relations.

Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Collaborate with the accounting team to address and resolve issues.

Reporting: Prepare and analyze AR reports to track the status of receivables, cash flow, and aging reports. Provide insights and recommendations to improve collections and reduce overdue accounts.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, correspondence, and account activities. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and legal requirements related to accounts receivable.

Requirements

Qualifications:Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or a similar role.Skills:

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
