Description We are in search of a Project Accountant to join our team located in Santa Clara, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Project Accountant, your primary responsibility will be managing financial aspects of various projects. This includes aspects such as budgeting, forecasting, billing, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. You will ensure the financial records and reports are accurate, complete, and adhere to company policies and industry standards.Responsibilities: Setting up new projects and administering existing ones, ensuring they are accurately costed Collaborating with project managers to create budgets and forecasts for assigned projects Monitoring project expenses and highlighting any discrepancies or variances Processing payments for sub-consultants and employee expenses and entering cash receipts Facilitating accurate and timely billing and invoicing procedures Ensuring financial processes and records adhere to company policies Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial reports related to specific projects Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or irregularities in financial data Collaborating with external auditors when necessary Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely client invoicing. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Project Accountant role or similar Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential Experience with Costpoint and Deltek Vision software is beneficial Knowledge of About Time software is desirable Demonstrated competency in accounting functions is necessary Must have experience handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Auditing skills are a must Must have a strong understanding of Project Accounting and Cost Accounting Experience in Job Cost is advantageous Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are required Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
