Accountant and Lease Administrator Needed

Lomak Property Group, a closely held, 40+-year-old commercial real estate company, owns and operates retail centers, office buildings, light industrial and medical office buildings throughout Santa Cruz County and Los Gatos. The Accountant/Lease Administrator will be responsible for working with our senior staff to help manage all aspects of our lease agreements - ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in the lease/accounting processes. The most qualified candidate for this position will have experience assisting with Yardi Systems data management, and will be reliable, flexible, fast learning, organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities & Duties (not limited to and subject to change):

Lease Management: Oversee the lifecycle of lease agreements, including lease abstracting and document management.

Rent Administration: ensure accurate, monthly billing.

Accounts payables, receivables, CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and expense control.

Reconciling the company’s bank statements and running monthly financial statements.

Lease Database Management: Utilize lease management software, Yardi Systems, to organize, track and manage lease data efficiently.

Requirements:

Proven experience in lease administration, property management, or real estate operations.

Strong understanding of lease terms, legal language, and financial principles with quantitative and analytical competency.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to “zoom out” to look at the big picture, but also “zoom in” to the minutia of the day-to-day tasks.

Excellent record keeping skills, communication skills, and proficiency in Excel and Yardi Systems
