We are a large commercial glass union contractor with three offices in Northern California, currently seeking a qualified Project Accountant to join our stellar team. This role is in our HQ and reports to the CFO. You will be responsible for the following:
Provide direct support to the project teams by managing project-related accounting functions in addition to administrative tasks
Performs project related duties for assigned Project Managers such as issuing and processing change orders, entering budgets, reviewing job costing
Maintains project files and contract documents for record keeping
Prepares and submits monthly billing packages for projects, ensures project compliance, and maintains project and subcontractor accounts
Handles accounts receivable for projects
Writes all subcontracts and manages subcontract requirements
Processes new contracts, ordering & maintaining insurance
Protecting project lien rights, filing pre-liens
Maintain the life cycle of projects
Performs other related duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications include:
Well organized and detail-oriented.
A self-starter and great team player.
Desire to learn and accept new challenges.
Knowledge of construction accounting
Cost accounting experience in construction industry is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively engage different personality types.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
