Schedule: Mondays through Fridays, 7 or 8 hours per daystarting at 1:00 pmor2:00 pm; Schedule to be flexible and will require flexibility for overnights, possible weekends and supporting and working closely with the household manager. Hours will range from start time and end time depending on the needs.
Children: 12 year old is the focus, but also an 11 year-old, with support from the household manager.
Duties: Care and support for an intelligent and social preteen girl who is neurodiverse, homework help, maintaining structure and routine with an empathetic approach, driving, overnight care as needed, as well as supporting the overall family
Requirements:Ideal candidate has experience working with children and young adults who are neurodiverse, and is calm, kind, fun-loving and reliable. A background and experience in special education and/or behavioral therapy support strongly preferred. Driver required; family will provide a car for use on the job.
Salary: $40-$45 per hour; plus guaranteed pay 52 weeks of the year, five paid sick days, two weeks paid vacation, six or seven paid holidays and a medical insurance stipend
Requirements: Recent, long-term, professional (paid) experience with children, ideally as a Nanny in a private home with excellent references. Long-term teaching experience with children and recent & substantial work doing in-home childcare for a family may also qualify.
