Harmony Montessori & Forest School is growing. We are currently looking for bright young people who are interested in the field of early childhood education, as well as experienced and dedicated veteran teachers to help round out our teaching team.
We are a private, Montessori & Forest School preschool founded in 2004 that serves children aged 2 - 6 years of age at our unique and stunning waterfront property at the Richardson Bay Audubon Society. Providing tremendous indoor-outdoor learning opportunities in a nature-rich environment. Experienced Teacher - we are looking for a highly motivated, experienced teacher with proven classroom management and strong communication skills. The ideal applicant embraces a growth mindset, is receptive to feedback and coaching, and enjoys working collaboratively within a team. We are looking for teachers who bring joy and gratitude to their work. Certification or interest in Montessori training a plus. Must have possession of (or willingness to acquire) 12 units of early childhood credit.
Assistant Teacher Candidates should demonstrate: Comfort and capability with children, ages 2 through 6 years. Interest in and warmth for young children. Creativity and self-direction. Being receptive to feedback and coaching. Ability to collaborate. Must have possession of (or willingness to acquire) 12 units of early childhood credit
Duties include preparing snack, monitoring and guiding children through the daily rhythm, tidying the classroom. The assistant supports the teachers to provide an exceptional nurturing environment for our youngest students. Patience and good communication skills are required qualities for the position. Early Childhood and/or Montessori training is welcome but not required
Salary will be competitive, based on training, credentials, and experience. Benefits include access to medical insurance and 401k, and we are closed for the holidays. We are also happy to support continued education in ECE and Montessori.
