Do you like working with your hands and want to take over the world?

We're a local Watsonville company making high end hand tools, sold all over the world.

We are looking for a detail oriented person with good hand-eye coordination, and some experience with small hand tools like screwdrivers for putting small parts together. The primary job at first will be packaging saws for shipment, and loading boxes for shipment, but the goal is to train for assembly of the saws themselves.

We need smart, dedicated people to help us do what we do every day: try to take over the world.

If you fit in and pass your probationary period, we'll train you as far as you have the interest to go. For the right person, this could rapidly develop into full time, more responsible position.

Pay hourly DOE

Hours: 20-30/wk

Part time position, with potential to become full time depending on skills and aptitude.

Accrued sick and vacation time, paid holidays, and can be very flexible about exact hours once probationary period successfully passed.

Role and Responsibilities

Assist with packaging for shipment.

Prep and assembly of Fret and Coping saws

Prep and assembly of all product related accessories.

Clean, bag & tag parts for inventory and shipment.

Assist with shop clean-up and adhere to safety requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma

1-2 years mechanical assembly experience a plus.

Knowledge of Fishbowl Inventory software a massive plus.

Preferred Skills

1. Read and understand assembly drawings, Bill of materials, etc.

2. Familiar with small hand tools, drill press, bench sander, grinder, kick-press.

3. Basic knowledge of mechanical fasteners like screws.
