First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael is currently seeking a part-time Administrative Office Assistant and Community Liaison to join our excellent staff. The position is for 28 hours per week in person: 24 hours per week Monday through Thursday (9-3) and 4 hours on Sundays mornings (7:30 am – 11:30 am) This part-time position serves as the primary point of contact for our congregation and community, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, good tech skills, and a commitment to fostering a welcoming environment, including Sunday mornings.
Supervision: This position reports to the Pastor/Head of Staff and works closely with Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Office Tasks & Community Relations – answer phone calls, greet visitors, help coordinate church facility calendar, create PowerPoint slides for Sunday worship, type documents in Word, interact with congregation and building tenants, conduct church tours for event planners, work with church staff, and other tasks as assigned.
Sunday Services Worship Prep and Tech - set up and run audio/visual equipment (microphones, projector, laptop), lock and unlock doors, run PowerPoint slides.
