We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing Agent/Office Manager for our award winning interior design firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing and procurement, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Source and negotiate pricing for materials, furniture, and decor
- Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of goods
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of purchases
- Handle office administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence
- Collaborate with design team to ensure purchases align with project requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and address any purchasing-related issues
- Accept deliveries at office and assist designers with samples organization
- Maintain office printer/mail/supplies as needed
- Work closely with accounts payable to ensure payment to vendors is accurate
- Print and mail checks to vendors
- Credit card reconciliation
- Manage office services
Qualifications:
- Extremely organized and proficient in Excel and Quick Books Online
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or office management
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure competitive pricing
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software
- Knowledge of interior design principles and materials is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
