Role:Network Engineer (NextGen Firewall & VPN)

Location:

Rancho Cordova, CA(remote during Covid-19 & onsite thereafter)

Duration: 6 + months Contract

Primary Skills:

NextGen Firewall & VPN

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Primary focus will be hands on network and firewall engineering (mostly VPN)
• Provide routing and switching support
• Packet flow understanding and knowledge
• Log into routers and switches to view configuration and gather information
• Work with various firewalls including ASA, FTD, Palo Alto, and others
• Support VPN’s including both Client based and Site-to-Site
• Monitoring and working with various network management tools

Requirements:

• 8+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Strong experience with routers and switches
• Experience logging into routers and switches to review configs
• Hands on experience with Firewall, VPN, and Site to Site
• Pulse VPN experience preferred
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools
• Knowledge and understanding of industry standards and best practices
• CCNA and CCNP certifications
• Healthcare domain experience a plus
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
