Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Walnut Creek, California for an Accounts Payable Specialist. Working in the financial industry, the successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that will require a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills. The role involves processing invoices, conducting weekly check runs, and maintaining accurate records using Sage accounting software.Responsibilities: Full cycle accounts payable processing, ensuring all financial transactions are conducted accurately and efficiently. Code and match invoices, reviewing details for accuracy and completeness. Conduct weekly check runs and ACH payments, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Prepare and process journal entries, contributing to the overall accuracy of financial records. Utilize Sage accounting software to import data using Excel, ensuring seamless integration of financial information. Manage multiple check writing entities in Sage, ensuring efficient operations. Proactively identify and resolve issues related to physician expense reimbursements. Use Outlook for communication and task management, ensuring effective and efficient workflows. Take initiative on next steps and act independently when necessary, ensuring smooth operations and timely task completion. Handle a high volume of invoices allocated, ensuring each is processed accurately and on time. Requirements Must have a minimum of three years of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes is required Demonstrated ability to code invoices accurately Experience with check runs is essential Familiarity with full cycle accounts payable processes Should be adept at making journal entries Proficiency in using Sage Accounting Software Experience in entering vendor invoices is a must.
