Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in the legal industry located in Walnut Creek, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with firm policies. This job involves a high level of interaction with various departments, requiring strong communication skills and attention to detail.Responsibilities: Efficiently manage the processing of partner and staff bi-weekly payroll using ADP Vantage Ensure the accuracy of payroll data entry and compliance with firm policies Maintain and manage payroll service reports, time records, tax filing, and other payroll records Calculate termination paychecks and other out-of-cycle payroll checks Provide payroll related information regarding employee leave of absence calculations Act as a liaison with payroll service and coordinate with the Human Resources and Benefit Departments Organize and manage multiple tasks under tight time constraints Monitor and respond to inquiries in the Payroll Department email inbox, including researching complex matters Assist with special projects such as upgrades to ADP Vantage Develop ADP Vantage training materials and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role within the legal industry Proficient in accounting software systems Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now Experience with Ceridian and Crystal Reports Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration Familiarity with About Time software Strong understanding of accounting functions Proven experience in auditing Knowledge of benefit functions Experience in managing multi-state payroll Experience in handling payroll for over 500 employees Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) would be an advantage Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
