Work activity will include indirect support of Process Assurance. Additionally, will work directly on programs and support such project functions as hardware quality, systems assurance, system safety, materials usage, hardware manufacturing, and test engineering. The individual must be open to a variety of job assignments performed in various work areas around the company.What You’ll Do

Perform a variety of technical assignments requiring knowledge of engineering, science, or other technical applications.

Work to analysis, implement, and close employee suggestions across the enterprise.

Perform specialized functions of a technical nature requiring the applications of both technical theory and practical knowledge.

Gather, maintain, format, compile and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results.

Collect, document, and maintain data in various database formats: access, excel, SharePoint, etc.

Review and document data quality and governance

Produce technical documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).

Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.

Use a company provided computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.

Engage directly on programs in various engineering-related capacities.

Work closely and collaboratively with other program personnel to accomplish work assignments as needed across a variety of engineering-related disciplines

Multi-task across programs and work areas on a weekly basis

Plan and lead small-scale projects as needed across the enterprise

Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need

BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.

Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

Ability to understand and manage to a budget

Attention to detail, cost conscious mindset, self-motivation and go-getter attitude is required.

Strong collaboration skills maintaining composure with emotional conversations around process, not being trapped in the emotion, rather informed.

Proven strategic agility being very patient with adoption of process change while continuously generating what is effective with our process direction.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or clean room, outdoors or remote research environment.

May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.

May access other facilities in various weather conditions.

Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
