Description We are searching for a Staff Accountant in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky, United States, to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This role offers a hybrid working model, with three days onsite. We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will play a crucial role in financial operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), among other responsibilities.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintain comprehensive and accurate customer credit records Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end closing process Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks Resolve customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner Collaborate with the team to improve processes and contribute to decisions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role in the manufacturing industry. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports. Experience with software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and Journal Entries. Experience with month-end close procedures. Ability to perform bank reconciliations. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
