We administer the ArtsEngine UARTS/FEAST Program, the living-learning community Living ArtsEngine, funding programs for interdisciplinary student and faculty projects and research, and other engaged learning efforts and collaborative initiatives.We are seeking an Intermittent Lecturer who will work closely with students in the UARTS curricular program to develop their interdisciplinary collaboration and design skills and enhance their experience on their academic journey at UM. This position will be responsible for:

Delivering course content related to creative practice across disciplinary boundaries, interdisciplinary collaboration, reflective practice and creative ideation, and exploratory design. in the visual arts, engineering, architecture, and music, theatre & dance.

Hold office hours

Attend team teaching meetings among other UARTS 150 instructors.

Manage grading and input grades for the course.

Follow-up with students who are missing assignments or underperforming in the course.

Required QualificationsThe person in this role must possess the following qualifications to be considered for the position:

Experience with teaching in the arts, architecture, music, theatre, & dance, engineering, or other related fields, either independently or collaboratively.

Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary teaching team and instruct students toward developing creative and reflective practice, interdisciplinary familiarity, and team collaboration skills.

Familiarity or experience with ArtsEngine, or its associated programs, mission or student population.

Prior experience with the ArtsEngine, UARTS courses, Living ArtsEngine, or other similar interdisciplinary efforts, as the course may be part of a more specific curricular certification in the future.
