They are currently seeking a Construction Accounting Manager for their Corporate Office in Farmington Hills, MI.Role Overview: The Construction Accounting Manager will oversee the construction accounting team, ensuring financial transparency and integrity across all projects. This pivotal role bridges the gap between Construction Management and Accounting, ensuring effective communication and financial precision. The primary responsibilities include timely financial reporting, managing job costs, and ensuring compliance with financial protocols.Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Accounting Cycle Management: Lead and manage the entire accounting cycle, from initial budgeting to final reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Build strong relationships with the Construction Management team, including the Senior Vice President, to enhance efficiency and communication between departments.

Contract and Document Management: Oversee subcontractor billings, manage AIA documents, bank draws, lien waivers, and sworn statements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and distribute comprehensive monthly financial and job cost reports, providing actionable insights for executive decision-making.

Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for better efficiency and accuracy.

7 or more years of experience in an accounting or management role.

5 years of experience in construction accounting.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Property management experience is a plus.

Familiarity with Yardi aor similar is preferred

Solid understanding of AIA documents, bank draws, and related construction forms.
