High school degree required, as well as ability to pass federal workplace drug screen, and must hold a valid drivers license.

Starting wage: $18.00, although negotiable based on experience and education.

  • Billings School District 2 is seeking an Accounting Manager to assist in oversight of the accounting operations for Billings Public Schools. The Accounting Manager will help lead the day-to-day finance operations of an operating budget of approximately $200,000,000 and supervise a team of staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable. The Accounting Manager will assist in ensuring that Billings Public Schools has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation. Qualifications: - Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. At least 3 years of management experience preferred. - Five years of related experience in school district or other local government accounting capacity with reporting experience preferred. - Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting. - Standards Board required. Knowledge of Governmental Accounting Standards Board strongly preferred.
